I started this Substack account in order to spread the word about my business; Trinity Forge. I thought that I could use this to tell of new products that I would be introducing and new things that I was developing and to share the news of my business growing beyond my wildest dreams. That was my intent…
I’ve come to the realization that I’m pretty good at making things. I’m pretty good at taking someone’s ideas and turning them into a physical thing. I’m pretty good at figuring things out. All of that are important when running a business, but what is more importanter is that you can focus on one goal and that goal must be running your business above all else. Well I suck at that. I am almost incapable of focusing on that one thing for very long. Really, only long enough to know that I need to pay more attention before my mind takes me to some other thing or place. Oh well…
So with that being said, or typed as it were, I have decided that I would use this as a place to write about whatever I want to write about and just let it be whatever it is going to be. I have a wide variety of interests and I like to write about them and share them with others that share the same interests.
So this being my first… whatever this is, I’m simply messing around with it and working to figure it out.
So what is it that I like to write about and share?
Industrial History
Maritime History
Machinery
Metal Working Processes
Historical industrial machinery used in the metal working process that created maritime history
Whatever Else Comes to Mind
What is it that I won’t write about?
Politics. The quickest way to turn a decent conversation into a category 5 sh*t storm is to mention politics. I try to stay away from political topics, though I do have my own views. There are enough people writing and opining about that subject already so I’ll just do what I always do and do my own thing.
Nothing else goes here. I just wanted to use another bullet point so that the above bullet point wouldn’t be lonely.
To bring this back to the business for a minute; part of my business branding strategery is to create an image of the business as more than just a money making enterprise. We (I) care very much about industrial Heritage and I want that represented in what I do. I hope to gather a group of people together that appreciate old school craftsmanship and the trades. I’m not sure if this is going to be the way to do that, but why not. If anything, I like to write so this may well just become another creative outlet.
So with all the rambling over, I am going to conclude this first post. At this point I’ve made enough of a mess of this so I’m going to move on and devote some time to writing something real and hopefully of value. Hope you have a blessed day.
Kind Regards,
Nate
