Happy Independence Day

Now get to work...

247 years ago, a bunch of dudes came together and signed a document and then sent the document off to the King of Britain, a document which was essentially a giant middle finger telling him that we needed to break up and do our own thing. They did so, potentially, at the cost of their own lives. Today is supposed to be a celebration of that event and not a celebration of discounts at car dealerships, mattress stores, and furniture stores. It is a serious event, one which We the People have forgotten about, mainly because we have it so good here and life is easy in this nation.

Well here we are again, under the heavy hand of government as well as the heavy hand of corporations and businesses that are more interested in making a profit rather than standing on principle. We know that we are a nation in decline but I have something to say about fixing it before it is too far gone to be repaired without bloodshed…

I get frustrated a lot of the time with social media and with the news media. There is so much negativity and it seems as though everyone is giving up the nation. Drop all the negativity that is rampant on social media and in the news. Push it away. Don't engage the trolls. Don't engage those who are full of hate. Go around them and look for the bright side instead of being dragged into depths of hate and despair.

It is how the media, government, and corporations control us. Negative emotions are far more powerful and easily manipulated than hope and positivity and once they can manipulate your emotions, they can control you. If they control you, they own you.

We have lost much in our nation but it's not over, not even close, unless we accept that narrative and let the nation go. Get to work building something. Start a business. Start building the things that we need as a nation. Find a need that needs to be met and meet it. There has never been more access to information and there has never been more opportunity than now for those that are willing to make a difference and for those who are willing to do the important work and not give up. If you have tools, knowledge, and will power then there is nothing that can be done to keep you down but we have to stop being manipulated and quit looking to our elected officials to make things better, it's not in their interest to solve our problems, especially when they are the ones that have created them. We have to do it.

Buy American made, buy from companies that are trying to make an actual positive impact and not some fake, Marxist "Woke" impact. Buy from a local company instead of Amazon or Walmart. Go to local farmers markets and arts and crafts festivals and purchase from the local artisans and vendors. Start a business that fulfills a need in whatever market or field that you have experience with. Do what you can, where you can. Maybe all you can do is buy hand made soap at a farmers market. If that is all that you can do, then do that. It will make more of an impact than you can imagine. You don't have to do some thing big to have a huge impact but you do have to do something. Do all that you can do.

There is so much opportunity and need but there is a shortage of people that are willing to do anything more than repost memes and spread the messages that bring us down. The needs and shortages still get filled in business, industry, and the marketplace but are done so by folks going to people or companies that hate us or that are only driven by profit instead of doing the right thing. Some do this because they themselves are profit driven but others do it because there is no one else to go to. Become the one that they go to. Create the place where they can go to get whatever it is that you do.

We need to start doing things differently and oftentimes, where we spend our money is more powerful than anything else that we can do. Anhueser-Busch and Target are proof. Choose to support those that are making a difference and choose to build something that can make a difference.
